Custom Necklace Board

I've been wanting somewhere to hang my necklace, but didn't want to invest in a jewelry cabinet that was tall enough to hold the longer ones.  So I decided to make something myself.

Our master bedroom was built with two 1950's-style (i.e. small, single door) closets.  One of the previous owners took the second closet and opened it up to the bathroom so he could have a stackable washer/dryer on the main floor.  However, he never removed/walled off the closet door on the bedroom side -- so we now have this random door to the back of the bathroom closet in our bedroom.  I saw this as the perfect place to hang my new necklace board.

Don't you just LOVE it??  I do!!

Welcome!!

Hello and welcome to my new blog -- jd designs!  I'm so excited to start this new adventure to share my crafting creations with the world.

Some of you may have wandered over from my previous blog -- JD's Adventures in Cricuteering (http://jdscricuteering.blogspot.com/).  I began that blog in June 2010.  It was centered mainly around my papercrafting adventures -- specifically with my Cricuts.  My crafting has since evolved into a little bit of this and a lotta bit of that.  My first love is still papercrafting -- but I enjoy creating anything that allows me to use my crafty side.

In addition to using this blog to share my crafty-ness with you all, I also plan to use it as a home for my newest adventure -- jd designs -- a custom-order, papercrafting venture in which I plan to use my talent and love to design and create custom cards, invitations, banners, and other party supplies for those who may not share the time for or joy of doing it themselves, but still want that custom, homemade look we all love so much.

So whatever the reason that you stumbled across my new corner of the blog world, I'm glad you're here.  Thank you for stopping by!!

Until next time,

JD
