Damask Divas Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Divas' Valentine's Day Blog Hop featuring various products from Close to My Heart!  If you came from visiting Amie Kiger, then you are in the right place.  If you just happened upon my little corner of the blog world, you should definitely head over to the Damask Divas' blog and start from the beginning of the hop.

I'm going to be honest with you.  When I first saw the Heartstrings collection in the Seasonal Expressions Idea Book, I was not overly impressed.  Valentine's Day has always been one of those "blink and you'll miss it" kind of holidays for me.  I've never been a real girlie girl so I don't get into the frills and florals typically associated with Valentine's Day.  That said... when I received my paper sampler and sat down to make some samples for you all, I found myself falling in love with the Heartstrings collection.  I absolutely LOVE the color palette associated with this collection... Cranberry, Hollyhock, Whisper, White Daisy, and Lagoon.  The Lagoon provides a fun "pop" to go with the Cranberry and Hollyhock.

For today's layout, I used a pattern from one of the Make It From Your Heart books and my favorite Artbooking cartridge.  I just love the way this layout turned out, and I can't wait to add some pictures of my son and husband.  Hope you enjoy it, too.
